Amused Moose Comedy Improver/Progression short course

StandUp IMPROVER PROGRESSION comedy course

Led by MARKUS BIRDMAN on Sunday afternoons in central London in September and October

“Top comedy courses”:

Unlike most comedy courses, ours are led by current headline comedians who regularly perform at the biggest and best comedy clubs in the UK and abroad.

We also limit the numbers on each course to 10max to ensure each of you gets individual advice and support.

This is not a beginners course because the basics of stand-up are not included in this course.  It is designed for comedians who want to consolidate, improving their sets, to take their act to the next level.

On this course you will receive

  • Specific feedback on your current set.
  • Advice on how you can improve and develop you act.
  • Help in generating, writing and honing new material, with the benefit of advanced techniques.
  • Gain inside knowledge on how to deal with nerves, heckles and dying.
  • Practical performance tips.

The course is led by Markus Birdman who is one of stand-up’s most respected awardwinning British comedians, much in demand in the UK and around the world.  A career highlight was finding himself sharing the stage with Jerry Seinfeld when compering the Comedy Store.
“Uniquely talented, demonstrates just how it's done”: Evening Standard
“The all-round package; witty, controversial, hip, topical, silly. Made me laugh so hard it hurt. A master”: BBC

Amused Moose comedy courses often fill up ages ahead so don't delay enrolling for a course with dates that work for you,
or you risk miss getting a place so then have to wait quite a while for another one!

Because there is nothing as good as a recommendation, here are some about this course from earlier this year:

“Worth every penny.  Areas for improvement and focus were identified, with many suggestions on where I could go with an idea - something you do not really get on other courses."

"To receive indepth advice from a pro is invaluable.  For everyone looking to move to the next level in comedy, this course is perfect for you.”

“Insightful, supportive and practical – working with you on material, delivery and stage presence; spotting weaknesses and offering advice that improves your act straight away.  You'll save months flailing around on the circuit making stupid mistakes.”

“A funny, honest and engaging teacher who is able to go into great detail about each person’s act while still keeping everyone involved.  Brilliant.  Sign up now.”

“It was wonderful to see everyone improve so much.”

“A learning atmosphere that is relaxed” … “Thoroughly enjoyable” … “Gives confidence to try out and develop new things” ... ”All done with great humour" … “I have gained lots of tools” … “Fast moving, with a good combination of one to one advice and opportunities to perform” … “Great stuff!” … “A great analysis of stand up” … “Invaluable - I’d recommend it to anyone.”
